The Auroville Coastal-area Development Centre (ACDC) is an umbrella organisation for a number of Auroville projects active in development work in the coastal area around Auroville.

Our Coordination Hub provides various services at different stages of project planning and implementation to the coordinators of these projects:

- Support in project proposal writing
- Receiving and evaluating project proposals and giving partial or full funding
- Accounting
- Facilitating communication and interlinkage of project coordinators
- Monitoring and evaluation of the projects

The overall goal of the Coordination Hub is to manage a well-coordinated, effective and transparent organisation consisting of several implementing partners, supported by our own field team who create and sustain a common village platform for all projects.

The Coordination Hub works along the methods of Project Cycle Management (PCM) which has proved to be an effective way of running aid and development projects.
PCM is a term used to describe certain management activities and decision-making procedures used during the life-cycle of a project helping to ensure that:

- The respective project is supportive of the basic policy objectives of development work;

- The project is relevant to an agreed strategy and to the real problems of target groups/ stake holders;

- The project is feasible, implying that objectives can be realistically achieved within the constraints of the
   operating environment and capabilities of the implementing agencies;

- Benefits generated by the project are likely to be sustainable.
